FaZe Clan, featuring Ukrainian esports player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev on loan, faced their first defeat at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 tournament for Counter-Strike 2.
In the third round of the major’s second stage, FaZe lost to Legacy with a score of 0:2 (Mirage — 7:13, Dust II — 11:13). s1mple ended the match with a stat line of 24-34 and a rating of 0.86.
At the start of the second stage, FaZe confidently defeated HEROIC and TYLOO. To advance to the third stage of the major, s1mple’s team needs to secure another victory.
It’s worth noting that the Ukrainian team B8 Esports also holds a 2-1 record in the second stage of the major, having beaten Team Falcons and HEROIC, but lost to VP.

Natus Vincere will begin their participation in the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 from the third stage. The tournament in Austin runs from June 3 to 22.
