
Team Vitality emerged as the champions of the prestigious BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 for Counter-Strike 2. In the finals, the team led by Mathieu ZyWoo Erbo defeated The MongolZ with a score of 2:1, securing the grand prize of $500,000.
The decisive match began unexpectedly: on Mirage, the Mongolian team displayed strong gameplay and did not lose a single round after reaching a score of 5:5, ending at 13:5. However, on the following maps, Vitality seized the initiative, winning 13:4 on Dust2 and concluding the series with a confident 13:6 on Inferno, earning the trophy for the Europeans.
The Major took place from June 3 to June 22 in Austin, USA, featuring the world’s top 32 teams. Vitality, ranked first in the Valve leaderboard, progressed through the tournament without defeats, eliminating NAVI and MOUZ on their way to the finals. The MongolZ, ranked in the top 4, knocked out FaZe and paiN. Both teams entered the tournament at the third stage.
The silver medalist received $170,000, while the total prize pool amounted to $1.25 million. The Russian team Spirit concluded their run in the quarterfinals.
